Okay, after spending a few seconds laughing at this post, I did think of something that might be helpful for you . . .

If your parents are over 50 and are members of A.A.R.P., ask them for a copy of Modern Maturity magazine. Look in the back section, and sign onto any websites that are listed, requesting catalogues of their products.

This way, you can start receiving information on everything from wheel chairs and motorized scooters to colostomy and diabetes supplies, as well as literature on retirement communities in such nifty places as Arizona and Florida.

Just think! In addition to making the post office think that you're a senior citizen who doesn't have a life (since this is all you will be getting in your box - except for the 'roids), you'll have a head start on the stuff you'll need in, say, thirty or forty years.

(Alright, I admit it, I have a warped sense of humor. I did have a bunch of colostomy supply catalogues sent to a buddy of mine when he hit his 50th birthday. He was pissed at first, but then he couldn't stop laughing his ass off. And he did, in fact, take his revenge on me - but having a bunch of gay porn catalgues sent to my box.)

Yes, yes, and no - in that order. (Except to occasionally think, "Jeez, how do they do that?")

Sorry, guys, but I'll read anything - it's how to stay informed. But (I hate to disappoint y'all), my reaction was the same as it is to straight porn - if you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. Dudes or chicks, I don't care - I won't even watch a porn flick unless it has a plot, and even then I treat them as comedies.

Having said that, here's a side note . . . In the last year or so, I've come across some 30 bodybuilding and anabolic boards, and I doubt that even begins to approach the number of them that are online. One of the most interesting boards I found happens to be a gay board known as the Muscle Forums. You'll find typical BB and AS posts mixed in with typical cruise ads (mostly guys who like guys with muscles) and ads from escorts (male hookers). But in the middle of all of them, you'll find articles on intellectual shit out the gazoo - politics, international affairs, the arts, academics, etc. The stuff is definitely more "heady" than I've seen on most of the straight boards out there. And I have to admit that it's a hoot reading "How to Inject" threads next to "In memory of Peggy Lee" (who died last week - a thread which, last I checked, had some 25 posts).

It may surprise you, but some of the best information on AS is available on the AIDS-related boards. (PWA's - persons with AIDS - use AS for medical reasons, and their research is tight.) I hope no one here will never need that kind of information (and I'm thankful that I don't), but when it comes to both AS and fitness, the AIDS activists have their shit together - because they have to do so. (You've read some of my posts about why there is no generic test in the U.S. and why Steris cyp is fake - some of that research came from the AIDS boards, which covered those topics better than any of the AS boards.)

So call me anything but late for dinner - I have no hang-ups (nor should any straight guy who accepts his own sexuality). Which is why I'll read an informative gay BB/AS board faster than I'll read, say, certain "T" and "EF" boards that have often been discussed here. Their orientation aside, give me people who can think and write intelligently any day.
