    Home Gym

I'm thinking about buying my son one as he has been nagging me for a while and one of his buddy's has one, and I must say he has built his self a good base with it.

I am thinking maybe just a Bench with some free weight's, hopefully if I get him 100kg worth of weights it will last him a while as he is only 15.

Anyone ever had one, as it has been along time since I have had free weights at home and have no idea about what brand to look for or if its the same that make commercial as home units.

    Thanks

Try and buy used weights they are way cheaper and just as good as new ones.

I found a newspaper called buy & sell and bought a full size leg press
    machine for 60 bucks!!

Yeah I was thinking about that but I don't think he will go for that, you know how kids are if its not new then they don't want to know.

buy a squat rack and a good bench....then your weights. You can do everything in the squat rack...all bench i.e. flat, incline, decline, etc. plus everything else that you need. Plus, if he wants to workout alone then he can put the catch bars on to catch if he can't get the weight off of him. Then slowly build up your dbells and you'll have a complete setup.

    peace,
