NTFS or FAT32 ??

NTFS all the way bro. It is more robust, has better security, and uses disk space more efficiently than fat32. As for speed, I wouldn't think you would notice much, but it really depends on your overall system specs.

Fat32 is faster, but the 2.4GB file size limit was crippling my DV video editing and DVD writing. I didn't have a choice to "upgrade" to NTFS

This topic has been debated many times. However, IMO I don't think FAT32 is faster then NTFS. There might be "some" scenarios where FAT32 is faster, but again, there are many variables to consider. If your hard drive is large in size, if you are working with large files, and if you have a good amount of ram, or if you are interested in data security, then NTFS is the right choice. Here are some links to help you choose which is best for you.

NTFS for security and stablity, Fat 32 for speed. I would rather security and stability over speed any day.

File size limits of fat32 make this decision a no brainer

If you partition your harddrive to have multiple operating systems, such as windows XP, and windows 2000( for applications that dont run on XP ) or XP and linux, FAT32 is the way to go, because it allows you to still access information located on the other drive or operating system

Being that you spend a lot of time on boards like this, go NTFS for security. You shouldn't notice a speed difference, unless you have a Gateway or something

guys FAT32 is milli seconds faster. i do alot of DVD aurthoring and as you know DVD's are at least 4.7g you can't deal with file sizes that size on FAT32. NTFS is also more stable.
