Hell where do I start. Well if I listed all the places that I have had stitches I think I would take up the entire website.
Injuries that caused them were from jumping off the twisted slide and smacking my mouth.
Taking the blade of a wood plane out to make a ninja sword and ramming it into my hand. Don't know what I was thinking.
Opening a can of tennis balls
Like I said I could go on forever.
Aug 2001 - Other injuries include Boxer fraction from a fight in my right hand.
Summer 2002 - Peice of metal in my cornia (That one hurt Jussst a bit)
Winter of 2003 - Locked L2 and L3 vertabre together. Pinching syatic (sp) nerve
Current - Jammed C1 vertabre into Oxcipital Lobe of scull. This one has been on going for over a month.

well, i've had it relatively easy in my life...despite my desire to continue playing basketball at a level higher than i should...
age 19 partial tear ACL, complete tear vastus medialis (one of the quad muscles), torn meniscus
age 22 "severe high ankle sprain" - i.e. complete tear of most of the ligaments attaching to my ankle - my leg was black and blue from mid-calf to my toes...entirely. it's been over 3 months, and i'm walking again, but can't run for more than say 10 minutes on a treadmill...
and that's all...

Man you guys are fragile!
I never broke a bone (and god knows I was a careless kid!)
- 7yo - 22cal bullet in left arm
- 29yo - ripped left trap at my dojo
- 34yo - Left arm paralyzed a few weeks (pinched nerves)
Thats about it...
Of course I got thousands of cuts, burns, shocks, falls, and sprains from my years in the fire dept and being a backpacker, but none of those ever slowed me down so they don't really count.

LMAO
I had no idea I started so much sharing...
BTW reading some our my bros injuries I remember a good one
Age 25 Halfway cut thumb off with Chainsaw (Ouch!!!)
Better still was how the doctor made me wait for 2 hrs in the ER
and then after giving me 8 shots around my thumb to numb it,
which didn't work at all I felt everything... He proceeded to rip
off what was left of my thumb nail and try to put the thing back
together again....
Thanks Doc...Last edited by Jack87; 03-26-2004 at 04:54 AM.

Well, since there has not been one reply from the female gender, let me step up to the plate....(Yes, I am a female!)
Muscle tears and strains from gymnastics, way too many to count! Does ripping the skin off of your palms (and I mean almost all the skin!)because you are practicing the uneven bars count? I did that so many times I am amazed that it finally evr grew back and stayed!
Fractured heel from landing wrong on the balance beam at age 15, (had to have MRI and crutches and screwed up my competing for a bit, but I got back into things!)
Cannot EVER use knives to cut things! HAve a problem with trying to cut off my digits apparently!
Tore the lower muscles in my back wrestling with a huge rottweiler on the xray table at work....took alot of therapy and stretching, (that was hard since I am still very flexible, they had to have sports-med guy come in to find stretches that would actually stretch me!) and pain!
Most recently, had a stress fracture of my left tibia due to increased distance running and my sneakers breaking down at the same time...note to everyone, always buy new sneakers and sometimes shin splints are a good reason to STOP running, not to run farther to see if you can out run the pain! LOL! Everyone at the gym laughed at me, because there I would be working out with my cast and using those darn ellipticals and crosstrainers like crazy because I couldnt take any of my normal cardio/HIIT/kickboxing/spinning classes!
I know compared to you crazy guys this seems small, and it is! Amazing how differently men and women (boys and girls!) injure themselves.
