    Red Sox vs. Yankees

Red Sox nation is back and better than ever in 2004. For the first time in a long time, Red Sox fans have a team that stacks up against a team that knows how to win. The Yanks added some serious wood to their line up no doubt, but here is why they will fall short to Boston in the fall: Pitching. Boston has a superior starting rotation that will out perform over the long haul of an MLB season than the Yankees. Kevin Brown is a time bomb, he will undoubtedly be on the disabled list. Jon Lieber is unproven in the AL and hasnt pitched in MLB in over a year. The Red Sox bring back the same rotation that got them to game 7 last year, with the addition of a lights out second second starter in Curt Schilling. Also, the battle of the bullpen has to stack up in the Red Sox corner. The X factor in this years AL East race will be the Blue Jays, you heard it here first, whoever (yanks or Sox) beat this team more consistently will win the division.

well, i have watched john leiber pitch many times in chicago...i am a huge cub fan..have been a cub fan for 20 years... after 19 years of dissapointment, we finally had a good season, and hopefully will this year too... they redsox should be strong...so are the yanks...but it does not matter cause they wont match up againts my cubs anyway...but if leiber comes around, he can definatly do some damage...

I don't think you can live in Boston and not be a Sox fan...at least on some level.

I like them even more now that they're composed of former Dbacks!! Schilling is the man...not to mention Tony Womack - and the ever-great BH Kim (aka the Little Unit)...

    GO SOX!

    Skankees suck!

Our starting 5 is better. By the way BAseball doesnt even count anywhere but the northeast. Sox and Yankees fans dont show up in the third and leave in 7th. All other teams might as well serve sushi and expresso like the rest of the west coast parks.
