Can some one who knows about computer tell me what is a good DVD rw machine that can be hooked up external to the computor. Looking for something under $200.

IMO your best bet would be to get an internal combo CD burner/DVD +/- burner for a CD-ROM drive. They make them high end for $100-$125 and it will just take the place of your old CD-ROM drive instead of needing it's own shelf next to your computer. This is unless you have some unforeseen reason to not go internal. Mine was $120 and works great. Plus you can get editing software and encryption decoding software on your computer a lot easier than on to an external component.
