    anyone a golfer???

i skipped out of work a few hours early tuesday and walked 9...it was my first time out for the season...shot a 50 over 9 holes...the par was 33 for the course... i think thats pretty good...my goal this year is to consistantly break 90 over 18...i know thats still pretty darn crappy, but i have only been golfing for about 3 years...only 2 years seriously with good clubs... i read this statistic about only 10% of the worlds golfers can break 100 over 18 holes...i would like to be part of that 10%....

    Started playing 3 years ago...

Always thought it was a dumb ass game until my brother
talked me into playing, now I'm hooked...

Played for the 1st time this year, last weekend and shot
a 99 with a couple of birdies and a bunch of ugly ass shots
I'd like to forget... Usually shoot in the low 90's

I think everyone feels this way before they play it. I have been an athlete all my life and have excelled at every sport i play but this dumb game frustrates the crap out of me.

I am going this weekend with a friend. I have tried to hit a few balls and i have to give any golfer credit. That is a hard A** sport without a doubt.

I have been playing since i was 12...now 28. I was really good in HS (my best handicap was a 6) now I am around a 10 handicap. However, since i started lifitng and jucing the only thing I want to do is hit the driver....my longest drive was 373....I average between 320-340 (when I hit it straight...lol). I love the game...especially when you are with your buddies....get a cooler full of beer and have the best time. Golf is fun.....it's amazing that one day you can shoot lights out and the next day you are playing like a rookie....I think that is what makes us come back day in and day out.....

The other enjoyment I get is playing with my pops...he showed me the game when I was 6 (for my sixth bday he took me to a small executive course)...I played every once and a while with him until I got addicted to it when I was 12....but it's a great place for he and I to bond...I know sounds gay...but your parents are not going to be here forever....so I take every chance i can to spend with him....and of course mom too...lol

Just keep playing and practices....and the best advice I can give any one is to take lessons...and NEVER EVER take pointers from an amauter who read Golf Digest....see a pro they know what they are talking about.

I hate golf, but I love going to the driving range and hitting a few buckets of balls...

I play 2-3 games per year though as my kid likes golf.
