    .hqx file

Fine, one more question. I have a file that someone opened, which is .hqx. They opened it and saved it as a notepad file, so it shows the script/code...whatever that is. I have stuffit expander. Is ther anyway I can take the notebook (.txt) file and somehow read it? I.E the .hqx file is now a .txt file...I tried to save it as an .hqx file (which I'm not sure is possible), but stuffit just laughed at me and wouldn't open it.

Yeah, you are pretty much out of luck if someone opened it in notepad and then saved it from there... notepad will strip out a lot of non-printable characters that non-human readable files use.

So, you are pretty much screwed. Sorry!

Thanks. Hexbin is for macs, but stuffit will open .hqx on PCs, right? If so, will it autodetect the email attachment upon opening it, which is a .hqx, and convert it?

    Thanks again for the help.
