    what's the longest you have waited for an international express package?

    hi guys,

    i have a pack coming from the us to ireland via internationall express mail.

    tracking shows that it was posted on may 10 and left san fran on may 11 but now it has somehow shown up in greece on may 13 about 3000 miles east of where it's supposed to be.

    this pack has gone us------->germany-------->greece

    anytime i've gotten a pack from the us before it has gone
    us----->ireland

    or sometimes(rarely though)
    us----->uk------->ireland

    what is happening is like me wanting to fly from ireland to new york but first flying to romania then flying to new york while wanting to go the direct route.

    i trust my source completely and he's a golden bro.I just don't trust usps and whatever the hell they are up to.

    anyone have any ideas on what could be going on here?

    thanks

    i think you should give it 1 more week and then you should feel free to be paranoid and pissed off. if your source really is a trusted bro then he'll compensate for his own mistakes

    just thought about this one... maybe it went west towards ireland instead of east. this really would be a possibility. maybe greece is just the half way point

    thanks for the advice,it's still as strange as hell though.

    maybe there's such a thing as misrouting a package or something which the po might fix themselves but if that's true then i'm relying on the greek postal authority to see the error and send my pack back across europe.

    i am definitely not optimistic about this one.

    Have you contacted your source to ask what his opinion is of it?. If your worried about a Seizure here in Dublin, DON'T. I've had a seizure a few months back, you'll get notice from customs and then the Irish medicines board. I'd suggest contacting you source or use one here!.

    Well if you can track it then you can see the final destination. If its your address in Ireland then obviously your source didnt make a mistake. UPS on the other hand might have. I've recieved 3 packages from China, the quickest was 2 days the longest was 5. Good luck.

    Yes, look at the final destination, my source one misplaced one digit in the postal code and it got messed up, city was right, street was right. I had to call up Fedex and without any questions they redirected the package to the right place.

    ****

    that is a long time

    on the topic of international orders a guy i know claims to have gotten a package from abroad and had it confiscated by customs then he collected it and was allowed it as it was for 'personal use' all he had to do was pay 17.5% vat on the value of the pacakage, sounds like lies , doesnt it?!
