Water IV DRIP???
Alright, who has heard of this? My buddy told me that he puts an IV in his arm at night with a water drip so he sleeps and stays hydrated. He claims to never have hangovers and feels better than he ever has! Is this possible? He is taking Nubane, and maybe something else. Says it helps his system with the IV...

Hey bro it is a sodium chloride(NaCl) in a 1000cc bag, hope he has someone to start the IV for him doing it solo would be trouble and yes it knocks the hell out of hangovers, alot of guys I work with swear by it and it has worked for me after a hard night!

the vitamin thing you can do its done at hospitals all the time, and for the local drunks they hang some potassium I think, its a piss yellow colored fluid.

NGH is correct. this guy is definatly NOT using water and absolutly not tap water. If a person ran a liter of tap water into their body the reprocussions would be horrible. i'll spare everyone the scientific explanation but it would be a very bad deal and probably result in death, tap water would definatly mean death.
With that said, many "professionals" ie med/pharm/yada students or practictioners use this technique of intravascular volume replacement to cure such things as hangovers...which is caused by being dehydrated. I highly discourage this practice however, i do know of cases where people have died from too rapid or too much volume replacement. Basically the heart/vasculature cannot compensate for the dramatic changes in intravascular volume and the patient going into a "hyper-volimic" type shock syndrome.

DoctaBig is right. You don't see hospitals using water of any kind in an IV drip do you? A hypervolimic state can occur very easily, that is why fluid replacement is monitored so closely in hospitals.

Just let him you will come to his funeral, due to the water IV. Water IV=septic(infection in the blood). Not incurable but i would not want one. Now if he is using NaCL, no prob and believe me it will help help with the dehydration part of the handover.
