    Cool is everything a scam

i have been researching alot and finding websites and emailing with different people. but after reading a lot of peoples posts about getting scammed and what not, i began to fear everything is a scam. its difficult, becuase u just never know. would you guys suggest online ordering? and if online, order a little amount at first to insure that it is legit. Or would you recommend going with a seller you can see and talk to face to face? Just curious on your opinions and what you think the best way to avoid scammers. thanks a lot.

if you need to do a source check, you can PM some of the MODs out there. i think they'd be able to help you out. there's also a bulletin for scammers list...

The best way to avoid scammers is A) don't ask for sources B) check the references of a source C) check around to see how the source's reputation is, some guys have been doing poor business and still keep trying to take new customers D) check with mods here and finally E) use common sense, if the guy has everything under the sun and/or its too cheap, hes probably not legit. And for future reference, even good sources go bad, so don't send out more money than you are willing to loose. This game is a lot like roulette sometimes....

99.9% of all websites are scams. The Great BDTR told me that before.

do u think a small package of gear would get flagged coming out of thialand to the us. I think it goes to britian first then is shipped to the US. I heard customs can only cover only 30% of packages comin in.

Any website that isnt a scam then has to go through customs. Its too big of a risk when there are so many sources out there.

It's amazing how you start off not being able to get anything then over time you get sources that are safe, discreet and non-scammers. Rome wasn't built in a day, and where there is a will there is a way.

You gotta understand too that Mods and Vets aren't going to give you a source...they will give you a source check...two different things.....you will find one.

    Look at it this way...

Not all websites are scammers, but most are selective scammers. A few are legit sources.

If you found the website via a search engine, it is probably at least a selective scammer.

If you can purchase the gear right there on the site using paypal, a credit card, etc., it probably a scam, regardless of whether you have received a pack from them before. (See Selective Scammer)

If you PM or email a handful of mods and/or vets BEFORE you order anything from anyone, your chances of getting scammed will be greatly decreased. Be safe, unless you have money to throw away.
