They have to be bs'ing you, I mean even a tiny company with 1000 workers would have to spend half a million bucks, no company has that kind of cash to blow on employee testing...

Of course they say everything. They want you to drop out before they waste money on you testing you if you're a crackhead. That's all it is man. No worries about roid use.
Those tests are really expensive. Unless you are applying for a law enforcement position you should be ok (they would much rather polygraph).

I don't understand how steroid use would hinder your job performance :?: IMO if you're doing something illegal thats your problem, if you get caught by the law then you're in trouble, shouldn't be your boss's job to dictate what you can use to enhance your body. Rec drugs are different, you could easily impair your judgement...
What kind of position are you applying for?
At the most they'll have you piss in a cup and run a standard drug screen where they test for 5-10 substances and that's it.
If you **** something really expensive up or get involved in a work related accident then they'll likely do a more comprehensive screening in hopes of finding something that their insurance co. can use to claim more responsibility on your part ie. less expense on their part.
Steroids? Puhleeze, unless you apply for a position with a major baseball leage or something I would not worry about it.

steroid tests cost between 150( a lot of tests) - 250 (individual) a drug test. no company tests for gear that i know of. maybe that info can help ya.
Most people think its super expensive to test for aas. in essence it only costs about 300 bucks. of course "most" companies arent gonna spring for this, but 300 bucks isnt a whole lot of money.
they do test for law enforcement, may not be a steroid test but they will get you in a polygraph. I know all this cause i'm gonna be a cop.
I heard it was 800 bucks, maybe Im wrong! Drug tests are for common drugs such as weed, crack, coke etc... no worries with AS!
