Those tests are really expensive. Unless you are applying for a law enforcement position you should be ok (they would much rather polygraph).

i think most companies do random tests ....like at one place my buddy works at they will just show up to his department and tell him to piss in a cup. And if we are talking about people working with million dollar equipment or able to control the fate of acompany a random drug test here or there is well worth their time.

I don't understand how steroid use would hinder your job performance IMO if you're doing something illegal thats your problem, if you get caught by the law then you're in trouble, shouldn't be your boss's job to dictate what you can use to enhance your body. Rec drugs are different, you could easily impair your judgement...

What kind of position are you applying for?

At the most they'll have you piss in a cup and run a standard drug screen where they test for 5-10 substances and that's it.

If you **** something really expensive up or get involved in a work related accident then they'll likely do a more comprehensive screening in hopes of finding something that their insurance co. can use to claim more responsibility on your part ie. less expense on their part.

Steroids ? Puhleeze, unless you apply for a position with a major baseball leage or something I would not worry about it.

steroid tests cost between 150( a lot of tests) - 250 (individual) a drug test. no company tests for gear that i know of. maybe that info can help ya.

Most people think its super expensive to test for aas. in essence it only costs about 300 bucks. of course "most" companies arent gonna spring for this, but 300 bucks isnt a whole lot of money.
