T-3 question for Mallet

I know I have already messed up, but was wondering if you could help me salvage the situation. I did some reasearch through freinds (some are very good top level amatuer BB'ers, and boy their suggestions were nothing like what I have learned through sites like this!) and I have briefly studied yours and the 5/40/55 ways of cycling t-3. Initially I felt the 5/40/55 was the best way for me and because I am really lean (some say I look about 8-10% or 4 weeks out, I know its not very accurate, just adding as much info about my current shape, stats in asecond) right now and I am very sensitive to any stimulants or thermogenic fat burners. I started day 1 at 25mcgs( split up) and actually felt different, today is day 2 and at 40mcgs and have been a little warm all day. Now here I am taking the time to study some more when I come across your way of doing things and the PCT supplementation. Is it too late to jump to your cycle and is there anything I can take from GNC for PCT until I get some of the t-100 and Choleus? I weigh 195, 5'8", 36yrs old. I am going to get a thermometer tonight. What is my ideal resting temperture when on? And what is the danger signs to look for. I know it this is difficult if not frustrating for you, but any plan would be better than none. I do appreciate any time you take to address my current issues. thanks.

i am not mallet, but i can provide some info for you.

as far as resting temperature, you don't want to be any higher than 1-1.1 degrees for health reasons. so around 99.6 or so is the highest i would shoot for as far as body temp.

for me, T3 seems to work behind the scenes almost and i don't experience any adverse sides even taking 200mcg/ED for an extended time. i don't sweat more on it, however i drop buckets when using clenbuterol.

danger signs would be painful headaches that linger, out of breath easily, night sweats, insomnia, chest pains.

T3 can be very difficult to use properly, so be careful. if you feel anything off of 25mcg, i wouldn't go any higher than 75 at most at your peak. you sound very responsive to it, so that might be your best bet at this point if you are experiencing sides that are not coming from a placebo effect of being on it.

Make sure you are taking your resting temp to judge by. Right when you wake up, before your feet hit the floor. 98.2-98.8 is the optimal range. If you're below that than take another 25mcg's. If above than cut back. If you're just on day 2 I'd say keep going up until you find out what it takes to get yourself in that optimal range and then stay there for a max of 7 days. Than take 5 off and start at that dosage again next time. You also don't need to split up the dosage throughout the day. It has a half life of 35 hours so that doesn't do anything fro you.

Big4, until you get your coleus and T-100X, kelp will help some for the iodine....or better yet, if you can get bladderwrack...it's in the 100X, but I think you should be able to get it separately, just not sure where.

What you really need to do is to start taking your resting temp four days befor eyou start taking t3 to get a baseline, you may only need 50-75mcg to reach the optimal range, Since you've already started I would suggest checking your BBT tommorow morning and continue to monitor it to see where your at? If your RT is not in the optimal range yet? (98.2-98.8) when cycling t3 then you can go ahead and up your dose, if you find that your resting temp is above the optimal range than you would decrease your dose slightly. If you don't have your coleus and t-100x yet, you can certainly supplement with a good multiple VIT and MIN that's high in Selenium (200mcg) chromium (200mcg) iodine (75mcg) zinc (50mgs) copper (3mgs) these along with tyrosine will help in the synthesis of t4 and the enzyme iodothyronine deiodinase which is responsible for the convertion of t4 to t3, like Naughty Nurse stated bladderwrack is a good source of iodine as well.

Thanks Mallet. I will take my RT tomorrow morning in bed for 10 min via armpit and plan appropriately from there. All the right supplements are on the way and I do have the basic ones now. If I do everything PCT right how long on an avg will it take my thyroid to start working optimally again? Also will there be a rebound effect until it starts working properly? I plan to run two 7/5 cycles during this current Prop/Fina/Winny cycle. Thanks in advance to all who reply.

No need to do the armpit, under the tongue will suffise for our cycling needs. There will be no rebound on the 7/5 split, and your thyroid function will return within a few day, up to 5 tops. that's the resoning behind shorter cycles of t3.

Thanks again you guys. I have learned much. It amazes me how some of my freinds use t-3. totally opposite of the thinking here. I explained it to them and they said it sounded way to complicated especially the PCT and RT.

LMAO...It's a heated topic! Well just look at DaBull 10,000 posts and what? he's still chemically enhanced...I don't think there's much concern going into titles anymore, members know who contributes and who doesn't, that's all that matters.

Ya I can't get over that! so many people just want to arbitrarily take pills and inject stuff in them without giving any care to there health. the body works as a whole, through one thing out of wack and it'll bite you in the A$$.

I took my rt orally this morning and it read 98.0 so I will bump it up from 100 mcgs to 125 today. This is my 4th day ramping up.

98 is a good sign, adding another 25mcgs should put you at 98.2 -98.3 by tommororw. All things considered!

Mallet, sorry to steal the topic but my resting temp is low. I've been measuring everyday for like the last 7 days and I'm averaging just under 97. I haven't started my t3 yet, but what does this mean. Do I have a hyperactive thyroid? Should I expect having to use higher doses? should I shoot for the same 98.2-98.8? Thanks!

This morning my temp was 97.7. Thats a whole .3 difference from yesterday morning and I increased my dose from 100mcg tro 125mcg. since yesterday. I should have reached my optimal range by today. Somethings wrong. Could it be the CYNOMEL? Lack of consistency in doses? I lost 3lbs since I started, but I also look flatter. I hope that was not muscle. Anybody have any info on the catabolic possibilties with t-3? I think I will stay right here at 125mcgs for another 4days then cycle down. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The drop in temp was likely due to some added stress to the body as a result of overtraining , poor diet, or lack of sleep. I would not train today and yuor temp will be back up by tommorrow. It's not likely you'd be catabolising muscle with a low RT of 97.7, but since your temp has dropped your leaning towards a catabolic state, we need an anabolic state for new growth, so no training for a day.

Hey Ryanc!

that is a low RT, this would be considered subclinical hypothyroidism at the least, I would first start taking some coleus forskolii and t-100X to help in regulating your normal thyroid function, you can certainly take t3 to raise your temp enough to burn fat but after you stop you'll be faced with the same problem all over again. I'd suggest getting your thyroid fucntion going naturally first. Also a good multiple VIT and MIN that's high in selenium (200mcg) chromium (200mcg) iodine (75mcg) zinc (50mg) copper (3mg) take these three times daily, additional Tyrosine couldn't hurt as well but your likely getting a good supply in your diet. Also back off on your training for the next month or so, instead of 5 days a week go to 4 days a week the added rest and break from training will lower cortisol levels, cortisol being a culprit in low thyroid function as well. Make sure you get some solid sleep as well, if you suffer from anxiety or insomnia this will add stress to the body as well, I would suggest taking Relora before bed for a good night sleep, you can take this throughout the day but start with night timne doses and asses your self from there.

Thanks mallet! Is it possible to get flu-like symptoms when using t-3?

Also I think I might be training way too hard while on t-3. Currently I am doing AM cardio 6xweek at 40min per session, followed by 2 evening cardio (treadmill 30min) sessions on non traing days. Weights every other day. 1-2 compound and 2 isolation movemnts. 45min training seesions. On saturadays I completely rest. Any suggestions?
