Question Steroids show up on physical?

    Hey guys,
Im supposed to get a physical sometime this summer, and am on my first cycle of test enant, 500mg/week. Will that and novladex show up on a physical? And if so, do I need to worry about them testing for that? It'll just be a routine physical. nothing to be specifically looked for. Thanks bros

Your blood work will more than likely be out of wack. One reason is sex hormones are made of cholesterol so yours is gonna be higher than usual. Not to mention your liver values may be slightly elevated, even on Test and Nolva only, but not enough for alarm. Another possibility is your BUN levels which indicates Kidney health will probaly be elevated from the massive protein intake.

Thanks for the quick response...Im currently taking milk thistle and saw palmetto extract as well to combat some of those things...So I won't have to worry about my doctor telling my parents that I'm on steroids then huh?

No but he might say your son has abnormally high cholesterol and if he is familiar with steroids he might put 2 and 2 together, or he may even ask you.

How old are you by the way?

It depends on how often your doctor is exposed to steroid users. If your doctor regularly works with HIV patients or steroid users, then there's a large chance that the way the blood work test results are skewed will clearly indicate that you're using steroids .

It truly depends on your doctor's edulcational experience (interning where there were many HIV patients or steroid users) and his regular exposure to reading blood tests which have been skewed by steroids. If he has little or not experience with the poplulations I noted above, then it is likely that he won't make the connection to steroids....UNLESS he includes testosterone blood tests wich will be an immediate red flag if your test values are way out of the normal range.

Your test level will be very high in your blood test. You can't hide it.

Yea there are many things that put 2 and 2 together... also one thing that adds up with the bad cholesterol picture is red blood cell count will be high or perhaps beyond where it should be, the platlet size of the blood cells should be optimal or ideal size... white blood cells could be elevated as well as the acne (puss) is made of white blood cells and your body is probably ordering up lots of white blood cells these days... for me, liver and kidney values were spec so dont count on necessarily having elevated or bad values there... also my blood pressure was a tad bit low...

My doc was nosing around for answers when he saw the high blood cell count and cholesterol picture... that alone tells the whole story so I told him I was taking DHEA... and he said, aaah that explains everything and he went on to tell me DHEA elevates testosterone levels higher then any other over the counter steroid including ALL the andros... it makes women grow mustaches and hairy chests, etc.... so he wrote that off and told me to consider stopping the DHEA incase some day my body decides to have prostate problems, the DHEA will make them worst.

You could tell him you're taking steroids . He's a doctor not a cop.

Just wait 2 weeks, I think you got to pretty retarded to start a cycle weeks before a physical. If that isn't stupid I don't know what is.

I have had 3 consultations with my doctor reguarding steroids . Including one visit with blood work. He cannot by law tell anyone else what is going on. If you are with any decent health care plan u should even call and ask to speak with somone who deals with it a lot or a "sports medicine" specialist. Your doctor can give you some amazing advice on how to watch out while your taking drugs. Ihe went through years of school and while I don't like docs for the most part and how they over prescribe... They still have a million times more technical info then you and the personaly have administered more types of therapy than you will ever do in yout life. Aditional info and having a doctor watch your health could save your life. If you develope an abcess or infection etc, if your doctor is aware of your special issue he can treat you about twice as fast. I'm just sure hell ask you to reconsider taking the drugs.

I have had a physical while "on" - I was kinda worried about questions regarding some fresh stretch marks on the inside of my biceps but she never said nothin'...

Good point, I have 2 doctors share my AAS use with, and I got my main family doctor that is kept in the dark about it. I keep him in the dark because he made his opinion on them clear to me 2 years ago.
I got one that sends me for pre and post cycle blood tests, however I have to pay for them myself.
