    Inproper Injection

I do not think that I reached the muscle when I gave myself a shot of tes400 on Saturday. The pain went away today, but I still have a huge knot on my cheek. There is a very red area where I injected about the size of a 1/2 dollar. Should I go to the ER to have it drained. I used only a 20g 1 for the injection. I know that I should have used a 1 1/2. I will the next time. Is this some type of blood knot or what. It's huge and hard... Please advise what I should do. Thanks...

The knot is not small. It is a bit smaller than a tennis ball.

what is your body fat? If you are lean, you can get away with a 1". I would say massage and heat as well bro

My body fat is 7.4%. I am very lean, but I think that I missed this muscle on my second shot. I moved over a bit because the pain was so severe from the first shot. I have massaged it for a week. It has barley gone down. The pain went away but this huge as knot remains

Lumps this large. I have heard of people that get lumps but they go away in 4 or 5 days. I am afraid that my injection didn't reach the muscle.

Me personnally, I have been hitting my glutes EOD for 4 weeks now, just alternating sides, and (knock on wood) have had no pain or problems. Occasional ouch here and there but goes away in like 3 hours. Maybe you hit a nerve?

Yeah, a lump that size and duration may be a problem

I pinched the skin before injecting. I should have just stuck it straight in like I did the first injection

    rash and lump at injection

I have had a lump/knot for a week after my injection. I tried to press on it and it turned red and hot like a rash. Is it infected?

I went to the ER last night. The Dr. said that it happened because I hit a blood vessel and the blood just leaked. The leaking blood caused the hematoma (bruise). To all beginers sucha as myself-be sure to inject into the muscle. He had to draw some blood from my swelling to make sure that there was no infection. There was no infection so I was lucky this time. I will be making future injections directly in the glute muscle from here on out. Thanks for all of the comments guys...
