hello bros.. i have a story..

well i have a 16 year old cousin whos turning 17 in a couple months.. hes just growing like a freak. hes nearly 6'5 right now and hes soo skinny that it aint even funny. even his father called me down to their house to monitor him for a couple of weeks.. the kid eats like a pig but doesnt grow wider or get any fatter. his bones are very fragile.. very small, and his back is just crooked from all that skinny height. he wants to cut his height growth.. hes not very comfortable with it right now anymore. he thinks hes tall enough at 6'5 well even his father wants him to stop growing. its only making him look like a skeleton.

i told him to eat alot.. he starts cracking up and his father told me he eats more then a horse.. hsi father would spend nearly 2 grand a month just for food shopping for him. doesnt do any help. i told him to slow his metab.. down by not running or doing any sort of cardio.. still no help. he goes to the gym for an hour a day pumping weights.. lol his muscles cells dont even expand.

hes been to every doctor.. and none even try to help him out. they send him around to persoanl trainers who just eat up time and money with no results.

since hes young.. his test production should be through the roof.. and he should be gaining some mass at least.. but at 6'5 and 155 lbs.. with not even some facial hair is realy playing games on my mind.

im thinking about putting the kid on a low dose of test 250/200 per week for about 8 weeks. followed by colmid.

i know this is stupid but im just wondering if this would be a good thing for him. this is not just any other kid this is some1 who realy needs a helping hand from horomones.

overall hes very healthy.. hes a basket ball player. no health issues (knock on wood)

works out at his local ymca free weights etc.

any suggestions?

i said i know this sounds stupid.. but it was just a thought.i aint no doctor nor am i close to being any doctor. but the kid does need help. thats why i came here to hear what u guys have to say about this.

DO NOT PUT HIM ON TEST. Most of us had a high metab. at his age. I bet if we looked at his diet, he still isn't eating enough. Putting him on a low dose of TEST at his age will do MORE HARM THAN GOOD

perhaps this thread needs to be in the lounge.. But I will answer one question unless there is no chemical imbalance then no & hell no for steroids at 16-17.

the kid is still too young for hormonal imbalances to really warrant test administration.

if he really wants to go that route, go to a specialist and have them do full bloodwork.

btw, $2K feeding this kid and not having him gain any weight is ridiculous.

tell him to eat peanut butter and ice cream 2x's a day along with burgers and fries and he HAS to put some weight on his frame.

the facts are not lining up here for me...

def. don't put him on any sort of AAS. Secondly $2,000 for food, and he can't put on weight, I would look into that first. Everyone likes to think they eat like a horse, but break it down and monitor what he's really eating and how often, and more times that not you'll find your problem for weight gain.

AMEN! We have to also remember, he's only 16. Now if he was in his 20's and his diet was OK and he still isn't gaining muscle/weight, then we might have a problem

he just eats anything in sight man. i swear to god anything. i saw for myself. about the a/s thing.. it was just a thought. not like im stupid to go off doing it like im some sort of med expert. ive seen newbies from the age of 12 to 17 comming here asking about as and ive read nearly everything. but im just wondering here coz this is a totaly diffrent kind of story.

I agree 100%, a matter a fact- I don't even believe the $2000 a month in food story. Unless he eats at red lobster and expensive restraunts I don't see that possible. The way I understood , was $2000.00 in grocery store food,... Just no way....

his father spends that much.. words came out of his mouth i even looked at the shopping lists throught he month. he buys him top quality food.. specially meat organic stuff etc. his father is a lawyer so i wouldnt see a problem spending that much. hes also got 3 sisters and another brother in that family who hardly eat. so its moslty left to him.

Forget 2k worth of food, start giving him 3 weight gainers a day with 600+ cals each, theres 1800+ cals right there, then start cramming the food in him, chicken, beef, steak, MEAT! Since he just wants weight tho you could give him anything else high in cals too, cake, cupcakes, whatever man seriously lol don't limit yourself to a bb diet, go wild and fix it later when his body slows down.

Bro, I was the same way. I could not gain weight at that age or even in my 20's, if my life depended on it. Now, years later, I wish I had that type of Metabolism. He just has to have patients. He's still very young!

It's either genetics or a medical issue. A detailed blood test could check for hyperthyroidism or other potential causes.

i would exhaust every other option until hes 21-22 years old

weight gain doesnt happen overnight. Its a struggle and it may take alot of work day in and day out for a year or so to start gaining momentum, but once his body adhusts im sure it will steamroll into mass...

get a few tubs of that 2,000 calorie per shake weight gainer from GNC, have him drink 3 a day between his regular meals and add 4 scoops of power butter, flax seed oil, and whole milk to the shakes.

alot of red meat, whole eggs, bread, gallons of water, and the shakes I meantioned would put mass on a crack addicted ethiopian with full blown AIDS, it will def add mass to this kid.

BTW if he plays full court organized basketball thats a very intense game that Im sure hes burning alot of calories playing

poor kid has been sent out of doctors offices with hardly any help at all. they just dont etake him serioulsy nough to offer a blood test to see whats realy happening. heres a number call this persoanl trainer.. hes a card callt his nutritionist.. etc. thats all they do for him. this is canada.. everything is coverd including blood tests. i just dont understand why they wont take him serioulsy. next time ill tell his father to "demand" a blood test and a specialist. sad thing is.. his father is always busy with work.. the kid goes alone to the doctor lol. hes a lawyer.. so im sure hes got a lot of power if he wants his kid to look better and be healthier. spending 2000 on food and leaving it to him aint doing anything at all.

hes my first cousin.. id serioulsy hate myself if anything happend to him. i care for him like a brother.

btw.. not only there are side effects to anabolic steroids.. there are also side effects by eatng alot of food.

eating heaps of sweet stuff such as cake.. weight gainers that include alot of sugar.. can lead u to be dibetic early in life.

red meat and alot of meat.. can hurt your liver.

the list can go on and on special what if the kid devloped chlosterol problems from all that oil they cook in.. or even fry in.

just another thought.

lean read meat and bison (sheeet your in canada bro, i bet they sell bison meat at the candy store and gas stations) are fine, doesnt have to be fatty red meat-

and alot of weight gainers have minimal sugar, otherwise get your typical MRP and add lowfat milk and flax, etc to it-

if u really wanna help this kid you'll teach him how to eat like a man (without sacrificing his health)

see i never been in this situation b4. i am blessed with a good physque.. always been musclar even through my teens. i was ahockey player. i can gain weight so easily. im always into low carb food trying to keep weight off and remain in clean shape.

thats why i aint no expert int his gaining weight situation. but from what i see and read here i tell the kid to eat alot. it was just another thought that i was worried about from eating too much etc. i dont wanna harm the kid's health. the steroid issue was just another thought sicne i thougth wow.. look at him.

anyways.. ill be talking to his father later tonight. ill tell him abotu weight gainers and how he should be eating. ill be looking at the diet fourms.

Your right, but they can't even begin to compare to what Steroids can do to a kid at his age. Best of luck with him. Keep us updated!!!

I was like that, grew quickly to 6'3 (still there dammit) and was 155lbs at 16. I ate everything and didnt grow. Then I started doing pushups which gave me some more definiton. The following summer went to see a personal trainer from a great University in the UK who had me to a three day split learning proper form for squats, bench, deads etc... Needless to say that (plus my own knowledge) is why I am now 6'3, 205 in four years (lean). He will be too but he has gotta understand how to train. My point - get him to a person who can show him the techniques of lifting, discipline of lifting and philosophies....

His dad, the lawyer, can afford the bloodtests, right? 6'5" and 140? If it were MY son, I would need answers. Then again, he's 16-17. Maybe he'll thicken-out over the next few years. There's usually one or two of him in every high school.....
