    changing vials

hey bros, just wondering if ne1 can help me out here. my buddy just got a shipment in here and they came in 20ml vials. Me and him are splitting one bottle so we want to transfer 10 ml into a new sterile vial. Is there nethign special i need to do to transfer it or can i just withdraw and then squirt it in (or would i have to take out as much air as liquid i put in).. I'm going to obvisouly wipe both stoppers each time i withdraw liquid or put liquid in but should i change the needl each time too?

let me know if you guys can help out

Just pull it out and inject it into the sterile bottle. You won't put too much pressure on it, you'll probably have to pump more air in later to get it out.

When pushing into new vial use a 18 gauge pin for venting. Look at post # 19 for and idea of what I am talking about.

Props to Harvey Balboner on the Fina thread.

As lond as you dont make tto many transfers if the needle gets too dull it will leave holes in the stopper that won't completely close ie: sterility issue

hmmm.. that makes me think i may want to bake that... ill have to look it up in order to find out.. very interesting.... just have one question though.. how does air touch it? if you go directly from vial to vial aren;t you just drawing it up and then putting into another sterile place?

Air is always going to touch your gear bro. Everytime you inject you aspirate in to the vial. There is air in the vial there is air everywhere. I think the real issue is whether the vial the gear is being transferred to is sterile or not. BA should take care of most problems, but as in the case of MoneyBoss, Baking is not a bad extra precaution.
