Beleive it or not , Weed is illegal in jamaca. I was on a cruise and befor we got off in Jamaca the told us that you be approched by people trying to sell you weed. If you buy it , the person that sold it to you will wave down the cops and point you out. You will be arrested and it will cost you $300 to get out of jail. $2oo go to the cops, $100 go to the drug dealer and the drug dealer also gets his weed back so he can sell it to the next tourest sucker that comes by..

If its illegal why can you buy it in so many stores right off the counter? I was there about 6 months ago and in at least 3 or 4 stores I went into, there was a large bowl beside the register filled with small plastic packets of bud lol. Probably pay off the cops to let things like that slide I imagine.

Gear is legal from what I heard, I didn't look for it though, too much time touring But I would be afraid of getting scammed, I mean they sell fake brand name clothing and okley sunglasses in like every store in town
