Quick Advice needed!

Since nobody was helping me out in the PCT forum I had to post here!

Hey bros I was wondering whether any of you guys change the way you lift during PCT? Do you reduce the total number of sets and per body part? How many days off fo you take?

I was thinking of something like this:

Mon: Chest/Back 10 sets each 10,6,4 reps
Tue: Legs/Abs 10 sets each 15,6,4 reps
Wed: OFF
Thurs: Shoulders/Traps 11 sets 12,6,4 reps
Fri: Bi's/Tri's 14 sets each 12,6,4 reps
Sat: OFF
Sun: OFF

How does this look? Anyone got any other routines? Any help is appreciated!

why would you want to change the way you work out because of PCT? do not change anything, and if you do, make your training more intense. you are going to need every last drop of performance to keep more gains.

I'll post my procedure until some more experienced bros find this thread. I always keep my same workout in PCT. I do less weight and more reps. I try to focus on my intensity because that is one thing that seems to be lacking in PCT. Try to let your body heal. Do controlled movements with less weight. If you keep pushing the same weights the probability of injury increases. Good luck bro.

so keep my training the same keep cals up, and stop cardio..........correct?

why 3 days off? You only need one day off.

i dont know i read the routine i had written up as you saw so i wanted to check what you guys thought.........do i still keep on doing one body part per day?

hey max-it what do your reps look like for each set? 15,12,10,8?

i wouldnt say that is the case for everyone, or even most people. That also depends on ones workout split-

on cycle 6 days would likely still promote growth due to quicker recovery-
off cycle most people would likely be overtraining at 6 days per week, again depending on workout split

I change nothing, i train just as hard for 5 days a week on or off cycle or during PCT. Infact during PCT will allow you to guage your weights as you feel your strength dropping, always do 'feel sets' when you train normally, as this will avoid injury whether your on or off cycle. I would decribe a feel set as a 'comfortable' weight, for example with DB press i would use 100lbs Dumb bells for my feel set, if i can get 12 reps with that weight very comfortably, then i know i can go heavy for 6 reps. thanks dieslman that helps a lot......another quick question When can i restart cardio again? I was doing it for 4-5 days/wk at 30 mins plus playing basketball twice a week for 1-2hrs.......

can i atleast play basketball 1-2/wk ?

Basketball wont be a problem at all if its part of your usual regime or not. No need to drop sets, its really all about knowing your own body and judging your sets/reps per workout. Some days you will be stronger than others, dependant on whether your on or off cycle AND caloric intake and when you had your carbs in the day and how many carbs you had and whether or not you had simple or complex carbs. As there is so much to take into consideration, just judge how your feeling on the day of training, if you can only do 3 sets per movement then dont push yourself coz this can lead to overtraining and or injury.
