    Aromasin

I just read a post here about AIs claiming that aromasin is the best choice to stop bloating and other estrogen related sides. This is because aromasin, unlike arimidex , doesn't stop the conversion of test to estrogen, instead it makes the estrogen unable to bind. This allows estrogen to remain in you system without the adverse effects while keeping your lipid levels stable.
However, I have been searching medical sites for more clarification and have found conflicting information. These site describe aromasin as an "aromatase inactivator". If the aromatase enzyme was inactive, it wouldn't be able to convert test into estrogen and would therefore work the same way as arimidex and lower the amount of estrogen in your body.
So, my question is, are these websites half-assing there description of how aromatase works, is the person who posted the thread misinformed, or am I just completely misunderstanding this?

I'm on aromasin right now. It is an AI, but it does work a little differently. I can't really remember how but it's on this board somewhere, try a search.

I did a little more research and found a thread where Pheedno said that Aromasin doesn't reduce one's estrogen and Einstein said that it does. I don't know what to believe. Anyone know for sure?

That is what the thread that you referenced says but I have not seen any proof of that. In fact, I have seen much proof to the contrary. Do you know how it stops the estrogen from binding?

I have a question that kida has to do with this topic.
I have a slight problem. My tits are litlle swollen I can say. More like fat deposits. It really sucks. Can I minimize this problem using TaMOXIFEN . Or what can you guys suggest. Sorry about this extra question that I added.

Aromasin is a steroidal aromatase inactivator(type-I) unlike the type -II non-steroidal AI's like anastrzole & letro. Sin is structurally related to androstenedione which acts as a false substrate for the aromatase enzyme. It's processed to an intermediate and bindds irreversibly to the site of the enzyme(also known as suicide inhibition). It does lower circulating estrogen which is where the debate comes up on whether it's effects to lipids are significant. Most studies show no significant effet to cholesterol. A few suggest a drop in both LDL(3% at the highest) and HDL(9% at highest). Because of the HDL drop in some studies, I would suggest using something to counter that whether it be a SERM or policosinol(the latter probably being the best option if it's effects are beneficial)
