How long after clomid can you start a new cycle?

the typical clomid therapy lasts 21 days:
day 1 300 mg
day 2 to day 11 100mg ed
day 12 to day 21 50mg ed

with this dosage at the end of your clomid cycle you'll have roughly 395mg of clomiphene active in your body (half life of clomid is 5 days)...i was wondering if you start a new cycle the week after the last pill of clomid will all this clomiphene (still active in the body)affect the gains?

usually i work it so the time off cycle is = to the time on cycle so this should not be a problem!

From what I've gathered, you should wait to start a new cycle as long as your first cycle took. So, if your first cycle lasted 10 weeks, then you should wait 10 weeks before your next.

thanks...i've also heard of this rule: weeks on = weeks off...but is this a dogma like the holy trinity? is there a scientific reason behind this rule?can someone expain?
