I'm not to sure which one is more popular, but you are correct in saying EQ will produce a leaner more vascular look than deca. I retain a LOT of water on deca, but this can reduced with the use of l-dex at .25 mg/day while on cycle. It just depends on your goals, if you want to really bulk up, I suggest deca. If you're trying for the leaner look, I suggest EQ.
Tony is correct deca=bulk EQ=leaner, but I currently do both Eq@600mg and Deca@400mg along with Test E 1000mg
So does doing Eq and Deca together make sence with a test?
