what to use for my 1st cycle
hey whats going on im new to this site and im thinking about doing my 1st cycle ive been working out for years on and off but for the past few months been to the gym regularly im thinking im almost ready for my 1st cycle but before i wanted to learn as much possible to help myself benefit from it..i just started reading up on some things but i still need to learn alot..what do any of you recomend for a 1st cycle im looking to build mass and weight for the winter then for spring cut it and make myself more definied..what does anybody suggest for a 1st cycle to get started then get me going to meet this goal and what kind of cycle should i take to cut myself down for spring n summer..i read taht stacking on your 1st cycle isnt always great because if i get side effects i cant tell witch drug is doing it to me..im also not familiar with these drugs so much yet im looking for quality muscle with a little amount of side effects, i understand that side effects are almost impossible to get away from but any advuice would help..even what your 1st 2nd and so on cycles work and what you think would be the best for me...im 5'7" 165

a simple 10 week test enan cycle would work. i would work out for another 6 mo to a year before you jump into a cycle. get your training and diet straight before you jump in.
how much of that 165 is fat?

I will second the test enanthate . It would not hurt to run a little eq. At your weight, maybe 400test e/ 300-350eq per week. Make sure you have nolva handy or just run it from the start at 10mg per day. Most will say 500 test/400 eq but for a first cycle, I would go a little lower as stated above.

You would be safe running just a single testosterone for 8-12 weeks.
You could try any of the following and get great results.
Test Enanthate = 300-500 p/week
Test Cypionate = 300-500 p/week
Sustanon 250 = 250-500 p/week
If you eat clean and right (no junk food) and train hard you can easily put on 10-15 pounds in a 8-12 week cycle. Out of that you would probably keep most of it (roughly 7-10 pounds). It varies with each person and their body.
I have known people to do double the amount that I have recommended and they get crappy results (gained maybe 5 lbs.) and I have also known people who have done less than what I recommended and they exploded in size (gained 20 + lbs.) That is why it gets hard asking people who don't know you or your body type what to use and how much. It takes experimenting on your part.

Listen to what everyone is telling you and most importantly before starting any cycle, make sure your diet is intact. That means eating 4000 clean calories, 2.0g of protein per body weight. No steroid in the world will get you big unless your diet is good.
Welcome to the board, and don't rush anything. Research is key! (make sure you also research Anti-e's and PCT)

On my first cycle i gain 20lbs and kept 15 with that:
Test enant 250mg/ week 1-10
Equipoise 200mg/ week 1-8
