    HCG and saline

I talked to a pharmacist and he said the best way to use HCG is with salin instead of BacWater. Is this ok as i cant find any BacWater and i need to do my HCG injection today!

the solvent that comes with it, is normal saline

    PREGNYL contains 1 500 and 5 000 I.U. Chorionic Gonadotrophin per ampoule
Each 1 mL ampoule of Solvent for Pregnyl contains 0,9% m/v sodium chloride in water for injection

but further investigation (google) reveals that bac h20 should be used.

Correct, the solvent is sodium chloride, however, do not use normal saline. Thats used for irrigating wounds but is not sterile enough for injection. There is a difference on the way they are sterelised. Normal saline is not recomended. You can purchase sodium chloride in plastic amps from your pharmacy. Make sure it is sodium chloride 0.9% for injection B D! If your not sure, ask the pharmacist for advice.

If you're planning on storing your HCG in the fridge after mixing, you must use bacteriostatic water, NOT the sodium chloride that comes with it. The benzyl alcohol in the bacteriostatic water prevents the HCG from being degraded. If you mix it with the sodium chloride that comes with the HCG, it will only keep in the fridge for 2 days at most before degrading. It then becomes useless.
