OTC products to lower cholesterol/raise HDL
Hey bros.
I posted a tread earlier about what must be the biggest longterm threat to health from gear use -elevated cholesterol levels and trigycerides and lowered HDL levels. You can get more info at the thread: http://67.18.108.244//showthread.php...ht=cholesterol
Besides seriously cutting sat fats from your diet as much as possible while on a cycle, and diet stuff like water soluble fiber (like oatmeal and barley) there are OTC products that research shows can have a positive effect on lipids.
I've read a lot of info on something called policosanol and, much as I hate to schill a product (and they're not even paying me to do it!), Walgreen's has come out with a policosanol-based product called Advocate. The one I got ($30) includes two mail-in cholesterol test kits, which anybody on gear ought to be using to monitor themselves anyway, so it's a good deal.
If you cycle regularly this kind of thing could save your life or at least get your lipid levels down to a level that won't damage your health longterm.
