Caught by customs!
I had placed two orders from different stores over seas. Today I got a letter from customs indicating that they found "controlled substance" addressed to me etc and they attached a form to sign and send it back after I select one option:
1) I agree to voluntarily abandon the imported controlled substance.
2) I request that CBP commence seizure proceedings.
I also got slip from telling that I got a large brown envelope to pick up (it seems it is the second order has arrived).
So, what you guys think I should do now?
I think I shouldn't reply to the letter at all. But what about the arrived mail? do you think it can be controlled? Also, do they usually red list my name or the sender's in this case? Is it very risky to order next time? The provider is willing to resend the gear but I'm not sure whether it is safe.
Thanks in advance.Last edited by Alex2; 12-04-2004 at 05:12 PM.

Ignore the letter do not reply. Deny everything and write it off as a loss. Don't discuss the matter with anyone even if they appear to be trying to "help you".

Thanx guys for your advice. Can they do anything if I don't reply (from law point of view)? Does that mean all mails addressed to me are monitored from now on (just curious)? Has similar experience happened to any of you? And finally, I get several mails every day (due to my work nature etc) and I don't know who is the sender in many cases until I pick them up. So how you guys think I can know if some of these mails is "unsafe"?
