Mexican cop bust on me. Long but please read newbies.

What Karma....I just posted on the dangers of buying in Mexico and wouldn't you know...several days later I get popped. And I am no newbie to this. Been going down to TJ for ten years. By the way, any of you in Tijuana Tues, Dec 21st that saw a big American pinned up against the wall by FIVE Mexican cops, yes that was me. A ten year veteran of the game. However even the old timers learn something every day. What I did not know, was that there is a new unit in Tijuana called "city police" that are plain clothed, undercover cops. All they do is sit outside of various pharmacies and wait for gringos to come out with a bag. In the past, the Mexican law was that any police officer had to be in uniform and have identifying features. Since I had been doing this a long time, I was going by that previous law, not knowing the law had changed recently with new mayoral elections. What would happen in the past, is that you had a bunch of off duty, rogue cops who in plain clothes would flash their badge and hustle Americans for money, claiming they could arrest them. Newbies got scared and paid, and vets told the guys to **** off or take them to jail, making the thugs run away.Tonight, since these guys were in plain clothes, I just ignored them and when one put his hand on my arm I almost threw the guy into a wall. However immediatly FIVE separate officers appeared and threw me up against the wall. They got on their walkie talkie and a REAL police car came. I was frisked, handcuffed and the whole nine. Given that I had too much gear, I was told it was a felony, and this would have to be taken up with the D.A. after I was taken to prison. Having done this for so long, I still felt that these were hustlers, so I said the old "can I just pay the fine here and go? I have cash." When the cop said, "No, we have to take you in" I knew this was a different Tijuana that I was used to and even I was seriously ****ing scared ****less. Because I've been down there so long, I dropped a couple of names of business owners and local people that knew me,etc. They said that I could call them and prove I knew them and were friends with them. The guys I knew came down and vouched for me, talked to the cops and we all walked over to a bench to sit down and talk. The cop said since I was known and everything I could pay $150 and he'll just let me go. So I paid it, but even then the cop was nervous that I would say something. He not only had me promise up and down that I would never say anything about this because he is supposed to take me in under new guidelines, but he and the five other officers personally walked me all the way back, across the bridge and to the border where they made sure I went back to the states and couldn't rat on them. Again, anyone that might have been down there, I was a big dude in a white sweater being walked by FIVE dudes back to the border who were undercover cops. This night really changed things for me. Mexico, at least Tijuana is really dangerous right now. These cops sit outside pharmacies just waiting for a gringo to walk out with a bag. This really makes me reconsider a lot of things. Tonight was a real turning point for me. God when I was pinned up against that wall and everyone was staring at me, watching the arrest, it just was so **** horrible. After many years, It might be the end of my Tijuana days and I'll just have personal use stuff sent to me by low key guys. Man this night really got to me. Anyone going to Mexico, particularly Tijuana, please be careful. Please. I should not even post these kind of details about myself, god knows who is reading. But I'm just doing this to help anyone else out there who wants to buy in Mexico. Just watch out. And please no one ask me any questions about who I am, where it happened or anything. I just want this whole thing to go away.

After being vouched for by the locals, Did they consider letting you take the gear with you? What gear did you get?

    to answer question

To answer previous question, actually yes, after some locals vouched for me the cop did give me my gear back, I was shocked. At the same time though, I played the super ignorant role and told him that I had always just gone down there just to party and this was my first time ever trying to buy roids. I told him I had an old football injury and had a pin in my knee and "some guy" told me that anabolics could help rehabilitate my knee so I wasn't in so much pain. It happened to click with the cop as he played soccer and had some kind of injury in his knee and was asking me stuff about the pin in my knee(that I don't have) and what it's like, etc. Anyway, I told them again that "some dude" told me it was legal and I was just planning to walk across the border with my bag of goodies(yeah, right.). He bought it, and gave me this lecture about the law, how it's a felony and how I had to hide it, where to put it on your body and a bunch of ****. To be honest, the cop was pretty cool, he ****ed me over but really could have screwed me much worse. On top of that, he gave me my gear back, and I had even bought a cigar that when they frisked me was in my pocket and the cops had left it back where they stopped me. He told one of his fellow cops to go back and get my cigar. But keep in mind I had locals come out and vouch for me and I speak fluent Spanish to negotiate with the cop. Alright, I really feel uncomfortable with these kind of specifics, man I need to just blend back into the wall. Just posting to tell everyone to watch out with this kind of thing. It really has changed and tonight changed everything for me. This just isn't worth it anymore.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Glad that you came out alright.

Just curious, has anyone else encountered anything like this in other Mexican cities?

This story seems kinda shadey, or else your going to all the wrong places. I just got my gear in mexico yesterday, I walked first to the Vet and got frisked by cops for no reason but just walkin on the street being american. I wasn't scared cuz if u gotnothin on you they can't do nothing to you. Got to the vet, crotched the gear cuz if you carry a bag around with u full of drugs on the street doesn't matter if an undercover see's u its plain stupid. Got a cab and went accross safely. If you don't hide the stuff in ur pants when ur going around on the street, or take a cab, then it is plain stupid. a 10 year vet should know this

Why? You don't make sense. When I go down there I do the same thing. Just grab a couple bottles of tequilla and throw the gear in the bag. If I were to stuff that much gear in my pants then it just wouldn't look right. Last time I went down there I had over 15 vials and a bottle of dbol . How will that fit in my pants?

15 vials? I am making sense, I walk accross the border...I can't imagine how you could bring back 15 vials walking back...you must have drove? I only had 6 vials on me, easy to crotch and crack...

****...Thats some Sheet right there. You could get lost in the system down there forever and then, forget about it! You got so lucky for that reason alone. But on the bright side you paid $150 got your gear back, got the crap scared out of you, and had a police escort over the border ensuring customs wouldn't get their hands on your gear after all that. One way to look at it. I hate shopping in mexico for gear, It's always so sketchy anyway. Last time I went down to mexico, there would be some mexican crackhead waiting outside every pharm I went into. On the way out they would try to sell me everything from pain killers to birth conrol. It's too much of a gamble anymore unless you have a good relationship with the same pharm for a long while.

i think StayHungry is a goodman for posting his experiences about TJ here from all to learn from. But i must say as i have said time and time again....I absolutly do not see these things while down in TJ at all! I have never seen a cop bust americans coming out of a pharmacy. I cant count the amount of senior citizens who cross the boarder to get HGH then walk back over. Tons of them..... tons of chicks crossing over with retin-a, and birth control. Tons of people ive met who buy their cancer fighting meds there for way cheaper than the US. Tons of people cross the boarder everyday to get **** then walk back over. I have never seen all this stuff Stay hungry is talkin about. He must be walking off the beaten path into the bad side of TJ to be getting rolled by cops like that. i donno what hes doin wrong. but there are pharmacists in white coats hanging outside everyfarmacy ive seen there trying to get tourists to come in and buy stuff!. all the pharmacies compete with eachother down there.i cant imagine they would want cops outside their store busting people and scaring other potential customers away. its unimaginable to me.

i dont like to flame. its not my place as a newbie. but these are the facts: if stayhungry says that he goes down there to buy 15 bottles..then hes a source. if hes a source then it would be in his interest to scare people out of going to TJ to get gear all by themselves. its been my intention to help you brothers with advice to go down there and get good cheap gear. based on myexperience of going down there 3 times a months myself. wheather or not i am a source doesnt matter...cause i aint soliciting business here.

    just information

    First off,

    As I mentioned,

80-90 percent of the time nothing will happen!!!!! Please stop with the posts saying "I went down and have never had anything like that happen". Of course, getting popped is the exception, not the rule. However it is wise to simply know that it does happen. I was posting this to let you know that this business of plain clothed cops sitting outside of pharmacies is a new trend. In the past, like I said, cops had to be uniformed. They do not now and there is this whole subgroup of plain clothed cops who just lurk around pharmacies waiting. Next, the **** about the Retin-A,etc. That is legal! Here's a brief lesson....there are two classes of drugs that are made boys. Uncontrolled medication and CONTROLLED substances. Controlled substances, include pain killers and STEROIDS ! This is not legal to buy in a foreign country without a prescription. Uncontrolled medication you are allowed to bring back a 3 month personal use supply. Second, it is FAR worse to be caught with stuff in your crotch than in a bag because that means you intended to cross the border which is a FEDERAL CRIME and guys have gotten over 20 years for it. Oh ****, this just isn't worth it. I have a headache. Was trying to help so we're all safer. I'm done. Let's just all post on cycles and stuff and whether Winny or Var gets you more cut. Merry Christmas.

    One Last Thing

Here is the official statement from the American Consulate on the status of buying medications in Mexico. You can research any information about the legal status of drugs at the National American Consulate's webpage located at travel.state.gov. This is where I got this official statement:

"DRUG PENALTIES AND PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS: Penalties for drug offenses are strict, and convicted offenders can expect large fines and jail sentences up to 25 years. As in the United States , the purchase of controlled medication requires a doctor's prescription. You must have a prescription from a Mexican doctor; a U.S. prescription is not valid. The Mexican list of controlled medication differs from that of the United States , and Mexican public health laws concerning controlled medication are unclear and often enforced selectively.

The U.S. Embassy recommends that U.S. citizens not travel to Mexico for the sole purpose of buying prescription drugs. U.S. citizens have been arrested and their medicines confiscated by the Mexican authorities, even though their prescriptions were written by a physician and filled by a licensed Mexican pharmacist. There have been cases of Americans buying prescription drugs in border cities only to be arrested soon after or have money extorted by criminals impersonating police officers. In addition, U.S. law enforcement officials believe that the amount of counterfeit and substandard medications in Mexico could be as high as 25 percent and such medications may have collateral effects and reactions that could endanger your health. The importation of prescription drugs into the United States can be illegal in certain circumstances. U.S. law generally permits persons to enter the United States with only an immediate (about one-month's) supply of a prescription medication. Further information on bringing prescription drugs into the United States is available from the U.S. Customs Service at http://www.customs.ustreas.gov.

The U.S. Embassy cautions that possession of any amount of prescription medicine brought from the United States , including medications to treat HIV and psychotropic drugs such as Valium, can result in arrest if Mexican authorities suspect abuse or if the quantity of the prescription medicine exceeds the amount required for several days' use. Individuals should consider carrying a copy of the prescription and a doctor's letter explaining that the quantity of medication is appropriate for their personal medical use. U.S. citizens who plan to go to Mexico to purchase medication or who may be in possession of medication prescribed in the United States should check with the nearest Mexican consulate before traveling to Mexico . "

AND THIS IS JUST THE OFFICAL STATEMENT. WERE NOT EVEN INCLUDING CORRUPT COPS, SHAKEDOWNS AND THE LIKE. IM JUST SAYING BE CAREFUL. IM TRYING TO HELP. DON'T FLAME ME. I'VE DONE THIS A LONG TIME.

    Ok Done

I shouldn't be telling anything because the cardinal rule for anyone is not to speak of your personal business. It's not worth it just to post on some **** board. The ONLY good point you make is the cabby connection. Tj and other boarder towns are basically filled with hustlers. Hustlers to get you to come into their pharmacy, hustlers that want you to come into their strip club, souvenier shop and so on. There is kind of an unspoken code that Mexicans don't mess with other Mexicans trying to make a buck. So, without even knowing it, you've done something very smart. You deal with cabbies. As long as you are with a cabbie, you won't get messed with. Corrupt cops or anyone else knows that the cabbie is trying to get some cash, so he'll leave the situation alone. Man please end this thread at this point. Just go down with all of your "knowledge" and keep buying. I'm not selling anything, not promoting anything, just providing information that long time vets know is true. So just stop. End this ****ing thread. From now on, we won't try to post experiences and try to help you little know it all's.

Bro, I am 27 yr old and in a former life crossed at nueva laredo to smuggle large quantities of prescription drugs back. I have been shook down by both plain clothes and uniformed officers. I just paid them and I was fine. The only thing that scares me about Mexico is that yeah I got away all those times. I have a friend who got busted and he sat in a Mexican jail while the athorities told his parents if they send x amout of dollars they would let him out. $73,000 later and a Hepatitis c infection and a heroin addiction and three 1/3 years. He's out. The thing about Mexico is the fact that one day it might be one way and the next day it might have changed. All those years, I consider myself successful ( even with the few run-in's with the law). I am in a comfortable home not looking over my shoulder and am able to communicate with everybody around me. I often wonder what my friend went through in there, we don't talk about it. It is understood that nothing is to be said about what things were like in there. So, in my mind Mexico is like rolling the dice. You must weigh risk to benefit. Please understand that you could get off as light as a little payoff or just some confiscated gear. Or you could be in for something that you could never believe would happen to you. Before a couple of years ago, I would have said that there was no other choice to get gear. Now, I would never dream of going back to get gear from Mexico. There are way to many options that far reduce the risks involved in playing the game. Well good luck Bro. Peace

Did I say that anyone smuggled anything or "walked" me across the border? Mexican cops have no authority in the US and cannot walk you anywhere there. You dumb ****, I said that to make sure I didn't say anything they walked me TO the border and told me to get the **** out of the country. The **** happens everyday, stop flaming about things you know NOTHING about. If a cop hustles you, he sure doesn't want you to just hang around where you could go to the consulate and say what happened. They are breaking the law just like you did buying a controlled substance. They are not allowed to let a criminal go because he paid cash. Oh there's a ****ing moron every second. I don't post on things I don't know about, I KNOW about Mexico from Tijuana to Cancun. God I hope you go someday to a border town with your little attitude, get popped, put into prison and raped up the ass with five officers batons until your family is mortgaging their house to pay the extortion money you dumb ****.

They are breaking the law just like you did buying a controlled substance. They are not allowed to let a criminal go because he paid cash. Oh there's a ****ing moron every second. I don't post on things I don't know about, I KNOW about Mexico from Tijuana to Cancun. God I hope you go someday to a border town with your little attitude, get popped, put into prison and raped up the ass with five officers batons until your family is mortgaging their house to pay the extortion money you dumb ****.

    hey dumb****

    Excuse me Mr. "anabolic king",

Did I ever say someone walked me across the border? Mexican cops have no authority to walk someone across the border into the US. I said they walked me TO the border and told me to get the **** out of their country. This happens every day. A Mexican cop is breaking the law by taking a bribe, so he wants you gone so you don't say anything to the Chamber of Commerce or anyone. Dude, can you just PLEASE not post on things you know nothing about, mr "anabolic king". Don't call people out, read posts like the rest of us, take information you find useful and ignore what you don't find useful. But don't make a god **** fool of yourself. How many people, including old time vets of the board say that this **** DOES go on in Mexico? Mellow out boy, drink your little protein shake and stop speaking for a while. You know jack ****.

StayHungry the only thing I dont understand about your whole trip is that you walked out with the bag in your hand! To me thats the most idiotic thing you could do. You're throwing up some good info that only a smuggler would no but, my question is a 10 year vet doesnt make simple mistkes. Ive been down 4 times total and my bros been going down since 92, hes been caught 3 times, 2 coming through the border and 1 time by a federally with a box of SUS- redijects-! I think you've been down but a 10 year vet doesn't get poped at that stage of the game!

First, thanks for the info. Something for all to look out for just in case. Second, maybe the dude has been lucky. Or maybe he has been "Forest-Gumping" his way with success all this time. Who knows. But at least we learned of a potential "pitfall."

Im not doubting his story, but if customs saw 1 big dude carrying a black bag walk up to the border with 5 mexicans and the only one crossing is the white guy , wouldnt that look a little suspicious? If i was customs i would have checked ya.

    info

There are many posts about how Orals are toxic to the liver. Let me ask you, how many people have had a liver tumor or developed liver cancer on this board? Probably none. So should we listen to some newbie that says "Man orals aren't toxic at all, I just did orals for six weeks and I'm fine! It's a lie that orals can be toxic". Of course not. In the same way, there are legal problems and situations that probably will not happen to many people. However it is wise to simply understand some of the dangers involved in this game, so that one can avoid them. Listen to people and their experiences, and this game becomes safer for everyone. Don't be a know it all, I sure am not and I've been doing this a while. People have been training and cycling for decades and they don't claim to know everything. Just try to make this board an open exchange of ideas, so that it benefits everyone involved. Take what benefits you find and leave the rest. There really is never a need for loudmouth newbies claiming they "know" they way something is. Decades old veterans don't "know" the way anything is, as this game is constantly changing. I encourage everyone, myself included, to just have some humility and try to make this game as safe as possible for everyone.
