How are these used exactly?

Is this something one should have on-hand? I"m ordering some stuff from getpinz and wondered if I should pick some up. They offer .20u and .40u pore sizes.

Also, what is Luer Lok? Is that a brand name for the connection between the needle and syringe?

you can never go wrong with having extra whatman's around. get the .20u pore.

they're used to filter oil into sterile vials. most popular use is for fina conversions. others use it to brew their own from hormone powder

yea im making my own fina for my next cycle and ill need a wahtman filter to get sterile oil into the vial. it can never hurt to have one around

For homebrewing purposes....they are used to filter oil. If your not homebrewing....then you don't need 'em.

They filter does not sterilize the oil. Its the BA in the oil that makes it completely sterile. The .20u pore size comes close, but BA is still needed.
