The anabolic portion of the ratio relates to the average weight of the levator ani (a muscle) taken out of sacrificed rodents who were given whatever androgen they were testing. The androgenic portio relates to the weight of the ventral prostate from the sacrificed rodents in that group.Quote:

Testicular size doesn't factor in at all, as the rodents are castrated in order to not allow endogenous testosterone levels to play any role in the end weights of the extracted bodyparts.
