use an emory board (sandpaper like nail file)
I use an amp opener for amps that I have used............ anyone you find is good and will do the job. You could use some alcohol to clean it but there's no need.Quote:

I wrap the amp in a hand towel and use a pen cap. I also score around the neck with a razor blade, never had a single problem.
Gearboxinc.com has them and if your a first time customer you get a 10 buck coupon deal so you end up paying like 4.50 for the opener.
bro, just go to your hardware store, and get one of those small triangle files..I used to use it for years, it allows you to score the amp, then just thake a hand towel and snap it off...(if you cant wait to get the amp opener)..I have never broke one
