Any real benefit in using sauna?

would you suggest sitting in the sauna for a bit after a cardio session during a cutting cycle?
    ideas and input please

It's very relaxing. Make sure that you adhere to the suggested 15-20 minutes. You're blood pressure will be a bit higher than normal to begin with if you're on a cycle.

Benefits of sititng in a sauna:

    1) Sweat pushes the dirt & grunge out of your pres improving your skin tone & reducing acne.

    2) Lose some water from under the skin making you look more ripped (effect lasts only a short while, but fun if you walk past a mirror on your way to get dressed!)

    3) Heat causes your capilaries in your muscles to expand and increases blood flow and (proportedly) the increased bloodflow removes toxins and lactic acid buildup that occurs during exercise and improves your recovery time.

Nothing here is scientific, it's just anecdotal.

And Methuselah is right on--it is relaxing. It can be damn hard to get up and get going after a good sauna!

it's relaxing as hell, but the heat causes inflammation in the muscles and slows natural muscle recovery.

I heard that heat from showers and sauna's release small amounts of HGH in a book I read. I also read when you take a nap or go to bed you release small amounts of HGH.

I also heard what Dr'Evil said somewhere.

I have also read that short periods of 10 minutes in the sauna can raise HGH. But my gym does not have a sauna, so its not really an option.
