I just wanted to inform everyone that Western Union has changed its rules on pick-ups with no ID's. They now require a physical description of the person picking up the money if you choose to use a test question with no ID. This has gone into effect at my local WU locations, and will probably at your too. Just thought I would give all members a heads up.
What I did is said I bought a guitar on an internet auction site, and I did not know the description, the lady persisted so I just said "brown hair, medium height" and that worked. I told the person I was sending WU to the description so they could tell them word for word what I gave. I think it is anything over 500 bucks.
My order was only 200, I used the ebay excuse. It is anyone who uses a test question. Appareantly it has something to do with false pickups.

WU is laid back in Canada. They don't give a fuk here.
My god every time I go it's either to Kmart or to some other retail location and there very busy most of the time. So Iam hoping they will over look that little detail.

Here in Sweden WU are enough trouble as it is. They are constanly questioning you about sh¤t. I reckon you should be able to send money without being accused, am I right?!
very right you know me. i just made a 600$ transaction and got not weird id questions. Thank God!!!
hopefully it wont be everywhere, but the guy said that he "was required to ask", so I dont know.
is if you dont use the test question will they hassle you?
Then whoever picks up the money has to show ID. The reason for a test question is so the person does not have to show ID, henseforth they ask a question and reciever gives an answer.Quote:
