    And I thought I was low dose!

    Thought you guys would find this interesting......
    I pulled out a copy of Clarence Bass' book "Ripped" tonight and was reading about his dalliance with juice. In 1978, over a six-week period, he took:
    1) A "loading dose" of Durabolin - 100mg.
    2) Deca - 50mg./week.
    3) Var - 7.5 mg./day.
    (these are not keyboard errors)
    At the end of the six weeks, he put on 6.84 lbs.
    5.43 was muscle, 1.41.was fat.

    He did not do ANY PCT, and in another ten weeks, lost it all.

    I am doing a cycle right now of 400mg. test cyp/week (1-12), 200mg./week DECA (1-10), and Var 25mg./day starting at week six - 14 (14 week cycle).
    Man, I feel like Frankenstein compared to Clarence!
    Just shows how far we have come.................

    duck of death after this cycle - when you cycle again - double everything you are doing. same length just double the doses.

    Those doses are enough to cause suppression of the HPTA, which would lower the level of endogenous testosterone in your body, while replacing it with a dose that is actually weaker than that produced naturally....or at best, not a large improvement, anyway.

    ....Well, I am 54 years old and I just don't know whether playing with high dosages like that is advisable for me. I did one cycle already of test only at 400mg. for 12 weeks and put on a solid 13 pounds. My BP goes up as well during cycle (not bad) but my family has a history of stroke, so I definitely don't want to play with higher pressure. I would rather gain a little less each time than go nuts. Do you know anyone my age or older that has done these dosages??

    horrible advice... doubling doses does not mean better results. In his case it will cause some serious health problems.

    Double the dose? Thats rediculouse, I could see some rationality in recomending 500mg test the next time, or even 600mg (going out on a limb) but 800 from 400? That's unnessecary, not trying to bust your chops man just saying...

    Yeah I was about to say the same. That's not to say you need 2 grams of gear per week, but IMO this example is too low for most people to benefit from.

    I think anyone who disagrees with Clarence Bass's dosing scheme should look at the guy and his lifting and bb achievements. Nothing short of phenominal IMO, besides who knows what the norm was in his day.

    I would go higher dose... both doses from first thread are a joke. Unless it is someones first cycle or they weight 125lbs.

    Just because that's what he said he used, doesn't mean that he's telling the truth. Think about it. When someone comes up to you and asks you what you're on, do you tell the truth, or do you say "I'm on Cell Tech!"

    How is this cycle a "Joke"... thats around 10x the average production of test a week. If you cant gain off this cycle then you really need to check your diet and training.

    Looks ok for a newbie but I wouldn't gain jack off that cycle.

    Did you read the whole thing??? Are you joking??? Unless this is a first cycle or the guy is weighs a buck25 it is ok. Did you read that part??? Are those the doses you use? let me guess you weigh 170lbs.

    no i weigh 231.. and yes my first cycle was 400mg of test and gained 18 pounds. 400mg and 200 deca is not a low dose cycle for a first one.

    did I say it was a low dose for first cycle , I could have sworn it said unless it is a first cycle

    .....Well, this is my second cycle, but I am also taking 2.5iu Jin/Day and Superdrol at 20mg./day for weeks 1-4. I just thought that since I gained so well on just 400mg. test/week, that the addition of the deca and the Superdrol would be a nice second cycle. Do you still think I should up the dosages?? Incidentally, I am 6' 0", 185 lbs. with a very lean frame. I would like to achieve a lean and muscular look, but at 54 I have to be realistic - I am not going to be a 265 lb. beast. Appreciate the input!
