    Is a little processed sugar THAT bad?

    I think a tablespoon or so of regular old evil white processed sugar makes my oatmeal 1000x better. Yes, I can eat oatmeal plain, but there is something about enjoying the first meal of the day.

    For those of you who are super anal about these sugars, what are your thoughts?

    a little bit of high gi sugar is good in the morning anyway because you havent had food for 6 to 8 hours, and your body is in a relatively catabolic state, the faster the nutrients absorbe into the cells the better... also, simple processed sugars prevent muscular protein breakdown because they reduce cortisol production...
