Here is what happens when you try to re-use a pin - meaning you draw from the bottle, and then you use the same one to poke yourself.

Havent seen that pic in awhile... glad you found it to show everyone
bump!
Holy ****, thats intense that one that has been used 6 times. **** tha must hurt to poke urself with. Glad pinz are cheap and can use a new one each time.
yup, havent see that pic in about 2 years
wow..that makes sense to me.....i can always tell how much it dulls it when i re-enter my vial a couple times.
I have used the same pin before to draw from multiple vials and it looks nothing like any of the above images. I personally, and others are skeptical of this illustration, however, it is still a great idea to obviously change pins between drawing and injecting.
Yeah thats a good pic from the day. Now I know why It hurt more doing my first uneducated cycle years ago.
Have you actually put your pin under a microscope and looked at it?Quote:

Seriously I have used the same pin for days/weeks when drawing and it doesnt even so much as remotely look like that. I wouldnt think there is a huge difference between drawing multiple vials and injecting. Oh well like I said its a great idea to change pins regardless.Quote:

Needles are cheap. after seeing that, I will never re-use needles found in allys. :chinese:
Nice post...
It's been posted a ton in the past, but it's a good repost, people need to see this.
No need to reuse pins....they cost pennies per......
I received IM allergy shots every week for over 15 years. Not once did the dr, nurse, or allergist ever change the needle after they drew the fluids out of the vials. I draw and shoot with the same needle everytime for this very reason.
Good one.
Bump.
you cheap bastard...Quote:

but i will agree to a point.. it's not that important.. for sanitation more than the possiblity of using a dull needle..
imagine poiking yourself with the last needle, ouch!
I used to use the same pin to draw and inject but now i use a new pin to inject and it is way better.
Great post i've been trying to find something like this for a bud who draws and shoots with the same needle.
If I screw up with a slin pin in a gh vial...and I have to stick it back in the stopper.......I can **** near bend the thing before it will go through my skin.Quote:

Bump for newbies and the rest of us.
bump for bmwrob
Thats a pretty old picture thats been floating around for years.
I myself and i think others use a big needle to draw with (draws quicker) and a smaller pin to shoot with (less pain) .Quote:

i also ususe a large needle to draw, then a smaller to shoot, but i reuse the large one each time a draw, any trouble there?
I've never bothered changing needles after drawing before I inject. Now, if I was drawing from multiple bottles or something where the needle had to penetrate like 3 times or something, I might change it, but just from one bottle... nah.
yeah if your just drawing from one bottle you should be alright
Only sterility. You are sticking a pin in your vial that has been exposed to the environment and is not stored in a sterile environment. So it could be a source of bacteria.Quote:
