    Jimmy Williams (you're not gonna believe what this guy was on)

    Jimmy "Chimesy" Williams was a powerlifter in the 70's who benched 675 raw in a meet and 730 raw in the gym. Maybe the best bench presser of all time (he used to bench 6 days a week). He was 6'3", 380 lbs. My friend got a hold of a book he wrote that outlines his training, nutrition, and gear routine. He took all orals. Starting 4 months out from a meet, he did:

    dbol 50 mgs/day
    var 25 mgs/day
    anadrol 375 mgs/day

    Miraculously, he's still alive. Pretty crazy. Just though I'd share.

    That's a pretty toxic combo, but I'm more astounded that he benched 6 times a week. I'm having trouble benching once a week (pec tears).

    I'm not that surprised, look at what the times were like in his day...we're all learning new things about these compounds and how we react to them everyday. During that time how much was really known about this stuff? Not much, other than the fact it made you strong.

    Second, most powerlifts build their training routines around meets and would coincide the heaviest lifts for training as a tie in to the meet. If his training routine was 12 -16 weeks long then those dosages taken for that long would be pretty close....sure explains the reason for the records....most people on that much AS should be strong as an ox as well.

    He does mention that injectibles are much easier on the body, but he said he believed them to be nowhere near as effective as orals.

    Hey, how come now no one is saying that orals don't work? ADD SOME TEST! He's wrong! But wonder why he benches so much more than anyone else doing the 'right' things???!!!

    I am a believer that orals alone can still add strength and size, just need to know how to do a proper PCT. After this cycle, I'm going to do only vars every now and then.....and just maintain. AAS can help alter our physiques, but long term use (even with cycling on and off) is not very good for the body. Moderation is the key.

    As far as strength goes, he's quite right. Anadrol will blow absolutely any compound out of the water as far as strength gains, especially at those doses.

    For keepable mass gains, then no.
