    Quad injection question. (I hit something)

    I tried a quad shot for the first time a couple of days ago. I used spotinjection guide for a reference point. About 1/4" in it felt like I hit something and it was quite painful. I angled the needle and seemed to "miss" the bad spot. Any ideas what I hit. It felt simialr to when a firend injected into my shoulder and went in a little too deep. I want to try another, but I was wondering what you guys think.

    could of been a nerve or vein.....no biggie same thing happened to me monday

    Occasionally I will hit things in there. Veins can cuase a litl discomfort ... seems like when I go too far in I will hit a nerve or something and causes my sh*t to spasm.... thas the only two probs I ever have.

    yep, the guys are correct. either hit a vein or nerve. just pull out and inject into another spot. you don't want to inject into where the nerve is anyway, it's painful and can cause nerve damage.

    happens to me sometimes it will kinda hurt but in a strange way if its not to bad i keep going in. just make sure u aspirate b4 u inject

    I did my first quad injection monday and to me it seems like it was the easiest injection so far no pain whatsoever just a lil discomfort, I put almost the hole 1 1/2 inch needle in my leg got a lil twitch but thats all. I got more pain when i injected in my delt and glute.

    Was prolly a nerve if it twitched....I hit them all the time in my shoulders and quads. Never tris or glutes though.
