What can realy happen if injected into vein?

Hey guys, I hope I don't sound stupid asking this question but i've heard so many different answers I wanted to ask you guys.

What can happen if an injection is accidentaly shot into a vein or blood vessel? I know this shouldn't happen if you draw out properly but hypotheticaly speaking what can happen and what are the side effects?

I'd appreciate any answers from you pros who realy know. Thanks

coughing, chest pain....you could even go into a coma(rare)...sometime nothing. Either way, you should ALWAYS aspirate . It takes 1 second...better safe than sorry.

I think you will know if you started to inject into a vein or vessle. Personally, I think you'd have to inject into an artery to cause death...unless you were purposely injecting into a vessle or vein.

But, regardless of what theories are out there, like everyone will say...just aspirate . If you are in a vein you WILL get blood into the syringe

Most people expirience an uncontrollable cough if they inject into a vein. The substance injected circulates to the lungs and the coughing is the body's natural reation to eliminate the 'foriegn' substance. Its happened to me several times and usually last a few minutes and then passes.

It can happen even when you do aspirate if you slightly move the needle
which alot of us can't help doing depending where you are injecting at...
Some spots are harder to hit them others and most of the time you will
move the pin slightly which is enuf to hit a vein... I've done it once and
only once with EQ and it sucked... There's a good thread on another
board right now about it, not going to copy and paste it here, but it
covers it pretty good about what to expect...

i would think that if an AAS was to be injected into a vein a possible cardiac arrest could occur, a vein is a blood line that goes back to the heart, arteries are the blood lines that leave the heart, so injection into a vein would go directly to the heart, may God be with you if that happens

I can tell you exactly what happens having done it once, it's no fun, but
