OK, I should have clarified. I got a complete physical. This included an EKG. It came back abnormal so he did an X ray. This is how he saw is was enlarged. He is not a cardiologist so he forwarded my X rays over to one. This was Monday. He called today and they want to do an Echo Cardo Gram to get more detailed results on just how bad it is. My blood work came back also today with elevated liver values. This sums it up. Thank you all again. Hope this makes sense. Cat

Just like any muscle, your heart can hypertrophy just like a bicep with working out. High protein diets, creatine and other factors play. People who never used steroids get these conditions. Also steroids are not the only cause of ball shrinkage either. Its perfectly normal for balls to get big in spring and summer when we see more girls in bikinis and for them to shrink up some in autumn and winter as the girls are bundling up with heavy coats.

They also showed once that guys on steroids that werent training all that hard, werent getting the enlarged heart thing, it was all mostly related to the training and exercise. The relationship with steroids is, most people doing steroids are training and exercising exceptionally hard.

I look much better then I do in my avatar. I have put on about 20lbs of muscle since then. I get accused of steroid use every week. Also, I have a bit of acne. The doc was no different. He knew.
I am red and flushed all the time but the highest blood pressure I ever recorded was 120/78. Steroids do things to darken the color of the skin. Tanning lasts much longer when on steroids. I have also heard that blood pressure is also related to your weight. Maybe lower/reduce your body fat and try to be happy with a size thats not so big, like in the 230's (I think I read your are 268 or so?).

I know this is true, I'm the same way. My face almost always looks like I just drank a pint of Beam, it's kinda annoying. My skin also looks darker ingeneral.

230lbs wouldn't be all that big for someone of his height. Hell, that's my lifetime goal and I'm only 5'9".

Yea I like the long lasting tan but after a while, everyone is constantly saying, **** you look sunburned. You need to stay out of the tanning salon. Well my tanning salon closed last October and I aint been to one since. I do get some sun but in winter even in Florida normally I would be white as a sheet this time of year. I still look like I have a deep down July sunburn. There is no burn at all. Its the skin darkening/reddening effects of testosterone . On the bright side, last year I had wrinkles starting to form from my age of 39, this year while I look all sunburned. I also look 5 years younger and all the wrinkles have dissipated. I understand thats what people want when they go to anti-aging clinics and get on testosterone . It thickens the skin and reduces wrinkles with time and this relatively quick skin thickening is what causes the redness/darkening.

    not bad

every athlete has an enlarged heart. My and the whole football team was diagnosed with enlarged hearts, the reason being was because of the conditioning and the amount of time we use our heart muscle, this being a good thing. Now if you have an enlarged heart and you never exercise or compete in athletics, then it could be bad. But I do not know any ex athletes that do not have enlarged hearts. So it may not be a bad thing at all.

I got an paranoia my last cycle and thought i was going to die(lol) cause i got pains i the heart region...i went to the hospital and got it all, scan, x-ray,ultrasound, and everything was ok......now that is not the thing...when i was there they where told to look for an enlargement of the wall between the chambers of the heart(i think it was that) and that would be a VERY serios thing and could cause death just instant if you where unlucky(might be some scare propaganda in that)...if you got that i hope youll be ok..im not telling you that you are going to die just because of that, just that it would be a serios condition....just an enlargement of the heart isnt that bad i think

Im no doctor or anything..just trying to help you through my experience..

Most athletes have enlarged hearts due to the extra activity and needs...The heart is a muscle and grows when trained just like the rest of your muscles...

while steroids are not good for your heart, 5 cycles didnt do this to you. ive been using for years , done gh and abused every drug there ever was and theres a history of heart trouble in my family and ive been lucky, no trouble. some people have heart problems early in life, some children are even born with bad hearts. life isnt always fair. hope everything works out for you.

An athletic enlarged heart is nothing to worry about as the heart needs to accompany added muscle weight if your heart didn't enlarge you would be dead, guys like Coleman,Cutler and other pros would be dead right now if their hearts didn't enlarge to augment their huge muscle mass,it's like the heart saying oh geez he's putting on more muscle and those bigger muscles need more blood so I'm going to become big myself to help pump more blood to those muscles.

Obese people die of heart conditions because their hearts aren't big enough to handle their massive weight that is why athletic enlarged hearts are a blessing in disguse however enlarged hearts due to high bp is very bad and that is where you need to worry and get it fixed asap.

I also have an enlarged heart. Well it was diagnosed as being "borderline enlarged". There is medication you can take to counter it and keep your BP down which should do the trick. I personally would expect it to get bigger after so many years in the gym. That and being at least 50 percent over my natural body weight now.

A lot more research needs to be done in this field.

I googled "enlarged heart" and this thread came up. It's a subject most people on here might not want to think about but probably should. It's something that worries me a lot and would like to know more about. Hopefully it can help others to live a longer, healthier life too.

dude...Doctors... are ****in stupid. Wtf do they do in med school? seriously
Dr: Hm..you have a round heart
    Me: Oh..ok...and?
Dr.: Well, it's shaped more like a circle.
Me: Right...and what shape would you like it to be?
Dr: Well, it's supposed to be shaped more like a fist.
Me: Well, that's kind of a circle, isnt' it?.
Dr: Yeah but yours has no..defined contours
    Me: Sooo....its not aerodynamic enough?
    D...r: haha..
    Me: So.......
    Dr: So ....
Me: Well what's that usually mean?!
    Dr: Could be nothing
Me: Well than why'd you mention it?
Dr: Well...like mine sits up higher to the left than it should, just the way mine is.
Me: Okay, and how are you doin?
    Dr: Oh fine.
    Me: No problems?
Dr: No, it's just the way mine is.
Me: So should I worry about this?.
    Dr: Probably not
    Me: Okey Dokey! *ugh*

thats literally the convo i had two weeks aago with a doc who did an x-ray on my chest for bronchitus

on the flip side...i think some of our users here do need to be more honest and careful with their lipids. I dont think steroids are huge danger in enlarging hearts, but as far as clogging arteries, i think they can be.

Yeah what I've found is that they very rarely have any real knowledge. Just stuff their books have taught them. That's why it pays to see a specialist and not give too much weight to what the average doctor says.
