25 gauge are great, saves on scar tissue and you inject more slowly which is a good thing. Best to use two needles for the injection, one to draw - a 20 gauge and then one to shoot a 23 or 25 gauge. If you are only using one for both then the needle isn't as sharp as possible when it hits your skin.

Use a 20g to draw and 25g to inject. The bigger the bin the more scar tissue it will develop.

18g to draw and used to use 25g to inject, but **** it's to hard to do with one hand so I'm switching to 23g too. I'll give it a try monday and see if it works better!?

WHy would you want to give yourself more scar tissue? Mind you there is no profound difference in injection pain, but the scar tissue will be far less. Just draw with a bigger pin like everyone else said, but not an 18, it will tear up the stopper. Try using a 20.

I draw with a 22g no problem. try injecting the same amount of air into the vial that you want to come back out in oil. Even 20g is hard on the rubber stoppers especially when you use 50ml vials like I do.

never draw and inject with the same needle. I suggest that you guys all heat up your gear a little bit before injecting. it thins it out, providing a less painful and easier injection.

i received allergy shots for 15 years from dr's and nurses and not once did they ever draw the fluid out of the vial and then change the needle to inject with!! They always used the same needle. I dont see what the big deal is and why people always change needles. I do agree its easier to draw with a larger gauge needle.

I use 23g , IMO your're gonna get scar tissue from the AS more so than from the pin.

one, sterility. two, needle doesn't get dulled by the stopper. your nurses give dozens of injections per day and it's probably office policy to save money on needles by not changing them. we're just using at the very most, one extra needle per day. Well, i guess three if you're doing suspension. But thats compared to maybe 50 at the average dr's office, and 1000's at the average hospital.

    18 to draw
22-25 to shoot- dependant on site.. though 25 can be used pretty much anywhere as long as viscosity is not too high (which can be reduced by warming solution)
