What are infection symptoms?

What are the symptoms of an infection due to injection? The spot where I last injected is sore three days after. I don't see any redness and it is not hot to the touch. I have never really been sore after an injection let alone have had it hurt this long. Just wanted to know if it might be infected or was it just a rough injection (i.e. I tore the muscle or injected too fast). Any ideas? My thoughts are that if it was infected I would notice a color change, swelling, and warm skin temp. Anybody want to ease my concerns.

I believe you have pretty much named them. Sounds like you may of shot shallow. Make sure to get deep into muscle tissue.

Yeah its possible I messed up the injection. I just wanted to make sure that those symptoms would be present if it was an infection. I wasn't sure if they would be considering the injection went intramuscular and therefore wouldn't be near the surface. Thanks for the info
