LUMP in friends butt..why

My buddy did his normal shot in his glutes on monday like normal. today he told me that there is a pretty big lump on the injection site.. he said theres no pain what so ever. i saw it tonight and there was no bruises , you can just feel a big lump.. anyone know what this could be and how to fix it?

I had something like that once, I injected too fast and had a big lump for a about a week.
Though if i can remember correctly it hurt quite a bit.

I just went on as normal.

I get those often. I usually dont use a long needle with glute injections, so the oil lumps just under the skin.

is there anyway he can treat it from home? like heating pad, or ice or massaging it?? im just looking for some kind of help i can give him tommaorw

heat + massage

check for inflammation, heat or redness, check body temp and watch for fever...if any occur, id get it checked out if it stays more than a couple days
