Glucosamine for joints

Not really a gear question but related to gear. Does anyone here use glucosamine for joint repair or anything else? If so, how much do you use or how do you take it?

Hey toolman.
I use a Glucosamine & Chondroitin complex in pill format. Per pill: Glucosamine sulphate 600 mg, Chondroitin sulphate 250 mg. I take one of these a day with a glass of water, usually after eating, 3 times a day. In total 1.8g of Glucosamine sulphate and 750mg of Chondroitin sulphate per day. It does help with aches, pains, joint problems, etc, but you do have to take it for at least a month to notice any difference.

my mom use it for her joints so i told her about my elbow it hurts when i do tris so she told me to use it & here simply how it works the Gulcosamine & the chondroitin sulphate reconstruct the cartilage matrix, while ascorbic acid works by mopping free oxygen radicals thus aiding in the prevention of cartilage damage.

Toolman, here's what I posted in another thread.
"I'm having elbow problems. After reading every post possible, seemed the most talked about was Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM. The company Schiff sells a bottle called "Move Free" Joint Strengthener which contains all 3.
This bottle has 1500mg Glucosamine, 1200mg Chondroitin, and 1500 MSM"
And just like MatrixGuy said, everywhere says about 4 weeks to kick in.

they have a new product out that is supposed to replace glucosimine its being tested now so we will see how it pans out it is OTC


What is Celadrin?

I've used 1g of glucosamine and 1g of MSM and sometime condroiton for years, and I'm only 22. I figure a little prevention would go a long way with the heavy weights I lift.

I used Osteo Bi-Flex Glucosamine Chondroitin complex triple strength for my left elbow that been killing me for a few weeks now and NOTHING I dont know what the hell it says take 2 a day i take 3 and i took some other stuff i got from gnc on top of that and still nothing theirs no hope for my elbow when I dumbell curl my gym partner needs to help me bring the weight down because of the pain

1,200mg Chondroitin Sulfate
3mg Boron
