i went there to watch a soccer game a few years ago. its actually a beautiful and large city
I am actually considering making a little trip myself here in a few weeks......that is.....if i grow some rather large balls.

I almost had to go there for business purposes. I heard from other people in my company the crime against Americans is pretty common.
I have been there for business and you couldn't pay me to go back. Put it like this the contract for the job included leaving the equipment after managing the project. They would buy it for 110% over cost after wear and tear. We decided after machine gun escort to the plane we would not be investing in Mexico City. Stay the hell outta that hell hole.
i wouldn't waste the money to take a trip to mexico city... esp if you are considering a road trip because then thats just outright dangerous unless u know ppl/have them with you that are from mexico...gear wise i also wouldn't pussy foot around in the border towns..been there done that u can go a little deeper past the border towns and get what you want for a good price, and it would not be near the risk...there are guys that hang around the border towns that will help you out take u out to 1 of the towns and hook u up and also have some 1 else carry it across the border for you but like always be safe and watch your back sometimes they will be undercovers and have u busted as u walk across the border or when the mule comes across to deliever bust you on the scene making the transaction just my .02 ....
