Getting Blood Work Done
I have a question about blood work. I am going to get my blood work done on monday and was wondering if anyone knew the difference between free and total testosterone ? If so do you know how sexual activity before the test will effect them? I was told not to have sex a day before the test. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Serum free testosterone is what is available to tissues to be utilized. It's amount is about 2 % from the total concentration, the rest is bound mostly to SHBG (sex-hormone-binding-globulin). The amount of free testosterone is what has the most diagnostic value... I think....pretty sure... 2 lazy 2 check
