I did somthin' really stupid. Landlord called and asked me if he could show my apartment since I was leaving next month...my dumb ass said sure(I wasn't home)! Come home, and remember I see my shit on the coffee table!!!! I know he had to have seen my shit! Gonna grab my shit and keep it at a buddies house, but Damn I'm an idiot!

Make up a good story like you're dying or something and only have a little while to live. He'll never bother you about the rent being late. At least he didn't take it or even worse, call the Police.
He shouldn't trip, I'm sure you're more embarassed that you did that and he may have seen it than you're being worried that he's going to bust you.
