    I use 22g or 23g 1"

I would have to be drunk and have money on the line to poke myself with an 18g

I like 25g pins. sometimes I use 23g. the only time I've ever stuck an 18g pin in me was tring to drain fluid/puss from an abscess. ouch, I only did it once and probably won't do it again.

A turkey baster would suffice for an 18 guage.

I don't even use 18ga for drawing. It tears up a stopper pretty bad. The hole doesn't close up good, sometimes. It can leave tiny bits of rubber in the gear. I like 21 to draw, 25 to shoot, sometimes 23.
