reading a syringe

Ok, I am almost embarassed to as this, but here it goes.

I'm used to using amps where i just drew the entire content into the syringe. Now I'm using a vial of test (300mg/10ml). I want to graw 1CC, do i draw until the actual oil hits the 1cc mark or the top of the black plunger rubber hits 1CC?

the black line the plunger makes in the syringe match it up with the 1cc mark on the syringe

i never even thought of this... i only have experience with amps also, but will be using vials this time. good question. i wld have went with the oil to the mark rather than plunger.
