Does anyone know how long it takes (in your experience) to clear customs?

If it is not being seized, they can hold things up to 72 hours.

I'm pretty sure they are quick to respond. I am only going on knowledge from importing cars from the states. I had purchased a few there, and a couple were seized for 72 hours. I know this is pretty accurate accross the board. If your gear is seized, I would strongly suggest playing stupid and taking teh hit. Do not contact customs.

sorry, I should clarify... quick to respond if there is a PROBLEM at customs... if the duration is long, have patients and your gear will most likely come
